Welcome to the Jungle

It’s a cold morning in January. Billy, the CPA Judge, checks his Discord and sees a battle between the Water Vikings and the SWEET LITTLE ALIENS that has yet to be claimed. Of course, like all CPA judges, his schedule is free and he feels today would be a good day to not pretend he has something better to do. So, he accepts.

Fast forward 5 hours, it is time for the battle. IT IS ON!

Sizes are similar… tactics are fast, formations… creative. Wow, it’s insane. Honestly, it might be a close battle. Perhaps Aliens-WV-TIE… maybe it should go to overtime?

Then Billy thought for a moment. You know, I actually don’t like that Aaron guy at Water Vikings cause he’s fat… and honestly… Aliens are just so sweet… Come on, they need a motivation boost so their next sweep loss against RPF doesn’t hurt as bad… they’re just so sweet. They make me tingle in ways I haven’t before…

So what if was close? I’m sure we could find an excuse…

Yikes… that is rather close. Hmmm, but they’re just so sweet and innocent and the truest of true. I promise, I’m not feeble, I just love them. <3

Billy looks over and sees a bottle of Johnson’s Baby Oil on the desk. Billy chuckles to himself and opens the bottle. He begins rubbing the baby oil all over the screen, all over the Aliens penguins, and goes manic. He says to himself… you know what, I think it’s an Alien sweep. They’re just so sweet :3

And thus, the Water Vikings were yet again scorned in battle against the Aliens.

Ah… man. I thought it was going to be over by now. I guess not.

To all Water Vikings, our friend the Army of Club Penguin was recently attacked by the SWEET LITTLE ALIENS and quite honestly, I think we all have had enough of the baby oil that is rubbed all over them every time they do something. We stand by on business, it is time to do our duty as allies.

Aliens, if you truly want to conquer this world, you best learn how to traverse a jungle. Baby oil cannot save you here.

Welcome to the Jungle

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

All jokes aside, we are entering a conflict against the Aliens and Scarlet Republic to defend our good friends, the Army of Club Penguin. This was a long time coming, and I’m sure many of you will be excited for this moment. Remember, no baby oil.

I. We are joining the current conflict on the side of the Army of Club Penguin against the Aliens and Scarlet Republic.

V. Any merge will be deemed invalid by either army and will constitute a term violation.
VI. All battles must occur on Club Penguin Armies Battleground; no other CPPS may be used. Battles scheduled outside of this CPPS will be deemed invalid.
VIII. All war battles must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance with the Club Penguin Armies League, and all land will be locked. Any battles scheduled that do not meet this criteria will be deemed invalid.

Legends Cup XV Ocean Breakthrough: The Results & Reflection

What has perhaps been one of our most ambitious operations in a very long time, Ocean Breakthrough has brought astounding success to the army during the period of Ocean Breakthroughs implementation.

Ocean Breakthrough is an operation that I drafted as an accessory to the Frostbite Plan (the reforms plan of 2025) with the goal of winning Legends Cup. This plan was designed to unite the army, recruit massively, coordinate training efforts, and importantly, have the army file on all cylinders by encouraging strong retention and outreach efforts to get people to attend our events and battles. While we ultimately did not secure a victory in Legends Cup XV, this plan did result in pushing our army to heights never seen in this army before, as well as one of the most significant Legends Cup runs in this army’s history – as well as one of the most significant tournament runs of 2025 so far. I have compiled the results in long-form so we can further reflect the army’s performance.

In the Shadow of 2020

The views expressed by this post do not necessarily represent the views held by the Water Vikings, or its leadership.

FROSTBITE, Pjayo’s Pizzeria — The year is 2025. Five years ago, the COVID-19 Pandemic ground the world to a halt. But, in that silence, Club Penguin Armies thrived in ways never seen before or since. With many hitting 70 online regularly, with dozens of armies alive and well, it’s hard to believe just how dire things had been three years prior. In 2017, Disney’s Club Penguin would go offline, never to return. The brand image was in tatters, the userbase rapidly shrinking, and there were seemingly bots everywhere on the island. Amazingly, things were even rougher for those who operated the bots. Armies had been in a slow decline since the highs of 2013, both in size and culture, but would completely nosedive in 2015. Cheating became rampant, actual community size tumbled and once great armies were rapidly running out of steam. It’s entirely within reason to say that the 2015-2017 stretch was the single worst era in Club Penguin Army history, and that recovery would seem impossible.

Yet despite everything, 2020 would roll around, and would grant the community what seemed to be a second chance. This time, we can keep this little game of ours alive. There were problems, yes, but it seemed the community had grabbed onto a third golden age. Fast forward to 2022. Another case for the worst era in CPA history, where the amount of active armies seemed to dwindle to eight, wars were hardly fought, and if they were, it was a match to see who would blink and break the increasingly ludicrous amount of rules first. Tournaments barely functioned, with claims of collusion with the judges coming from all corners, sizes were what could be deemed a historical average, if not in a mild slump. This time, barring a second world ending pandemic, it seemed that the end was truly drawing near for the black sheep of Club Penguin.

The year is 2025. Club Penguin Armies seem as healthy as ever. A thriving media landscape, very healthy sizes, a dynamic army scene, with more than enough armies to fill out a top ten. Seemingly out of nowhere, armies have made a full recovery from what seemed like one of the lowest points in its history. Yes, it might finally be time to declare 2025 the fourth golden age, following in the footsteps of 2009, 2013, and 2020.

Or, that would be the case, if there wasn’t something missing. Something that is seemingly on the minds of every great thinker in this community, from every army, and from every rank within the media and judging wings. Arguably the single most important part of this game, the very backbone of its creation. Where the hell are all the wars? Continue reading

Resurrection of the Water Vikings Empire

Greetings, Water Vikings.

2025 has been a major year for this army. Coming from a major low point by the end of 2024, following the implementation of the Frostbite Plan, we saw ourselves rise from merely just a small army to becoming a top contender in the army scene – winning the S/M portion of the Candy Crush Brawl and rising to the top 5 armies by June 2025. Implementing Operation: Ocean Breakthrough, we managed to have one of largest rises to date; we managed to rise from a top 5 army in May to reaching the top 3 by June, and then becoming #1 army throughout July, scoring the most #1 positions on the top ten (three weeks back to back), averaging sizes at normal events of 40+, and reaching a peak max of 63, 75, and 88 in our Legends Cup battles. This era, now deemed the 2025 Blue Summer, saw the most significant Water Vikings tournament run since 2024’s March Madness, in addition to being one of Water Vikings most significant Legends Cup runs ever, perhaps even triumphing the 2022 run. While we did not win, nor reach the official finals; we broke many records for Water Vikings, saw the most significant rise in 2025 to date, took part in the largest battle of 2025 to date (and only barely lost; many have considered this battle the “true” finals of Legends Cup XV), and ultimately created one of the most well-trained (despite fighting uphill) and unified eras of Water Vikings in history, all within a two month period. What has been evident is that the rise of Water Vikings back to the top has been significant in army history, as well as Water Vikings history in itself.

Many of the people in the army here have not quite been well immersed with the history of the Water Vikings, and in addition, many of the people in the army here did not even experience the subtle rise from February to May. In the month of May, we took part of something known as the Club Penguin Armies map. This map contains various servers (the places where we log on Club Penguin) acting as provinces, which can be “invaded”. Many of the servers can be invaded through peaceful means, but ultimately, to obtain the largest amount of servers, you must win them via war.

With that, I’d like to introduce yet another major Water Vikings plan in the making, Operation: Ocean Conquest. Read more for further information.

WV History w/ Legends Cup: Why We Must Win

Hallelujah, Water Vikings!

As we enter Legends Cup XV, many newer people in the army ultimately have little clue about what Legends Cup is, our history with Legends Cup, and the importance that it holds. While I briefly explained in the Discord server a few times, including with a channel, nothing has quite captured the history and importance of the tournament. The goal of this post is to immerse you all with the history of Legends Cup, as well as Water Vikings.

WATER VIKINGS PRESENTS – Legends Cup: Ocean Breakthrough

It is that time again, my friends.

Indeed, yet another tournament is here before us – but this is not just any normal tournament. This is Legends Cup XV. Yes. The fifteenth Legends Cup since the start of it in 2010. This is a big year for Club Penguin Armies, as well as a big year for Legends Cup itself. And we, the Water Vikings, are here for yet another year to participate… but this time it’s a bit different.

You see, my friends, this year marks a decade since the Water Vikings first reached the finals in the Legends Cup. Ten years ago around this time, the Water Vikings reached the finals in Legends Cup VI, only to be beaten by the Rebel Penguin Federation. The following year, the Water Vikings once again reached the finalsonce again to be beaten by RPF in the finals. These two losses (although primarily the first) are some of the most controversial in CPA history, primarily due to the allegations of bias and rigging against the Water Vikings. Whether or not that is true, it does not change the fact that the Water Vikings pushed hard in 2015/2016 in an attempt to win the Legends Cup, just to fall short in the finals. Six years after our last time reaching the finals, we reached the finals once again in 2022 against the Templars, again losing. This loss was once again riddled with controversy, as our opponent was exposed for multilogging after years of speculation and damning evidence, originating all the way back to 2018. Notice a trend? It seems every time we reach the finals in this tournament, we fall short due to circumstances that we barely can do anything about. After a decade of trying in this tournament, there has been no closure achieved for us in regards to this tournament. A decade of multiple leaders working to achieve this goal, often falling short right at the end because of circumstances that we simply could not change.

Water Vikings versus Templars, 2022

Well my friends, with a month of averaging around 29 max throughout all of our events, we made ourselves in the top three largest armies with CPAB max, especially when you remove allies from consideration. Indeed, since our return in February, we managed to rise up these past five months reaching a peak position at #3 on the Top Ten, barely falling short of second place, which was only guaranteed to the army above us due to battle points, and not by size. Indeed, we have come together, locked in, and put in a serious amount of work over these months through our recruiting/retention projects, internal restructuring, and networking across the army to develop one of the best teams in the community at the moment. There has not been this much hype for Legends Cup in this army since 2022 – and with how things are going, unless someone decides to multilog (we all know who lol), I am confident that we are the army to reach the finals this year. The finals is not the goal, my friends, no. Instead, we need to win, and finally bring closure to the decade of working towards this goal. Many leaders and teams here have dreamt of and worked hard towards Water Vikings finally winning this tournament. My friends, while the odds are not astoundingly in our favor, the mere fact is we can win this tournament. And we will see to such a victory.

With that in mind, to further motivate you all and reward you all for the amazing work that we must put in to win this tournament, I am proud to announce on behalf of the leadership a new challenge and means for all people in this army to participate – Legends Cup: Ocean Breakthrough. Read on for more.

Road to Frost Frenzy

Hello, Water Vikings.

I’m sure many of you are aware that this year we intend on taking the tournament scene pretty seriously, using every tournament along the way as practice for Legends Cup. So far this year we have participated in two tournaments: Candy Crusher Brawl and March Madness. In the former of the two, we would go onto win by a small margin after some fierce competition. We have had a lot of fun, but since March Madness things have been relatively quiet. Fortunately, an organization known as Club Penguin Armies Official has been on the rise lately, and is hosting their first tournamentFrost Frenzy. Unlike the previous minor tournament, this one is going to be in a bracket format, meaning we will be competing against several armies over a span of several weekends. In addition, we plan to help support this organization more and more as they try to innovate the community! So, with that being said, the Water Vikings are officially taking part in Frost Frenzy.

That being said, what is the plan? Well, my friends the plan is to win! This will be the third tournament that we have taken part of this year, and not only will this be amazing practice, but we have an awesome opportunity to not only bring home a trophy, but also to help out the community. To celebrate such an event, we plan to be holding more frequent game nights, as well as a recruiting competition! Like Ocean Steadfast, we plan to give back to our community for their hard work. Due to this tournament being relatively smaller scale, we will not be doing a massive competition that will take into account various factors, instead we will be tracking recruiting and welcomes. The competition will begin today, 20 April 2025 until 11 May 2025. Read below for the rewards and how to take part:
