It is that time again, my friends.
Indeed, yet another tournament is here before us – but this is not just any normal tournament. This is Legends Cup XV. Yes. The fifteenth Legends Cup since the start of it in 2010. This is a big year for Club Penguin Armies, as well as a big year for Legends Cup itself. And we, the Water Vikings, are here for yet another year to participate… but this time it’s a bit different.
You see, my friends, this year marks a decade since the Water Vikings first reached the finals in the Legends Cup. Ten years ago around this time, the Water Vikings reached the finals in Legends Cup VI, only to be beaten by the Rebel Penguin Federation. The following year, the Water Vikings once again reached the finals, once again to be beaten by RPF in the finals. These two losses (although primarily the first) are some of the most controversial in CPA history, primarily due to the allegations of bias and rigging against the Water Vikings. Whether or not that is true, it does not change the fact that the Water Vikings pushed hard in 2015/2016 in an attempt to win the Legends Cup, just to fall short in the finals. Six years after our last time reaching the finals, we reached the finals once again in 2022 against the Templars, again losing. This loss was once again riddled with controversy, as our opponent was exposed for multilogging after years of speculation and damning evidence, originating all the way back to 2018. Notice a trend? It seems every time we reach the finals in this tournament, we fall short due to circumstances that we barely can do anything about. After a decade of trying in this tournament, there has been no closure achieved for us in regards to this tournament. A decade of multiple leaders working to achieve this goal, often falling short right at the end because of circumstances that we simply could not change.

Water Vikings versus Templars, 2022
Well my friends, with a month of averaging around 29 max throughout all of our events, we made ourselves in the top three largest armies with CPAB max, especially when you remove allies from consideration. Indeed, since our return in February, we managed to rise up these past five months reaching a peak position at #3 on the Top Ten, barely falling short of second place, which was only guaranteed to the army above us due to battle points, and not by size. Indeed, we have come together, locked in, and put in a serious amount of work over these months through our recruiting/retention projects, internal restructuring, and networking across the army to develop one of the best teams in the community at the moment. There has not been this much hype for Legends Cup in this army since 2022 – and with how things are going, unless someone decides to multilog (we all know who lol), I am confident that we are the army to reach the finals this year. The finals is not the goal, my friends, no. Instead, we need to win, and finally bring closure to the decade of working towards this goal. Many leaders and teams here have dreamt of and worked hard towards Water Vikings finally winning this tournament. My friends, while the odds are not astoundingly in our favor, the mere fact is we can win this tournament. And we will see to such a victory.
With that in mind, to further motivate you all and reward you all for the amazing work that we must put in to win this tournament, I am proud to announce on behalf of the leadership a new challenge and means for all people in this army to participate – Legends Cup: Ocean Breakthrough.
