Critic’s Corner: “Dating Around”

As I witness Tiffany mowing down on her pasta and smacking her lips to “taste the spices,” it provides me a reminiscence of what makes dating great: meeting new people, some normal, some not-so-normal, and some just downright insane (please, Tiffany, close your damn mouth). There are plenty of awkward moments that make me cringe off the bed, such as when Ben (protect this man at all costs PLEASE) gets friend-zoned into another galaxy. Sarah’s downright insanity becoming evident as the episode progresses is incredibly entertaining to watch, as seen in this quote here: “I’m gonna give you a piece of advice and that is DON’T EVER TELL A WOMAN TO RELAX.”

All jokes aside here, this show is unique in that it does not fit the typical dating show’s stereotype. When we think of a dating show, we think of clean-cut straight white men and women in their mid-20’s searching for love. This show adds so much spice to the dating show scene, with episodes featuring an older widower, a divorced Indian-American woman, and several different gay, lesbian, and bisexual people.

In essence, Sarah is insane, Ben is the real-life version of George McFly, Lex is an absolute stud, and Leonard may be one of the funniest men alive. Keep in mind that dating is not allowed within Water Vikings, and if you do, it’s probably cringer than anything you’ll watch on this series since most of you lot have no idea how to talk to someone you’re interested in. In conclusion, when we have a viewing session of this show, definitely come give it a watch, as you will be cringing for the entire duration of the episode but its strange allure will have you coming back for more.

[US] Capture the Flag with Silver Empire

Hey Spicy Vikings!

Today, on 15th May, 2021 we logged on to Zipline on CPR for a fun battle with our lovely allies, Shiny Grey Empire! Donning our dark blue jackets, we braved the frost and wind and waddled up the treacherous mountain alongside Silver Empire. However, friend quickly turned to foe as we battled at the Ski Village, inside the Secret Room, and at the Summit. Once we conquered the mountain, we had a fun game of Capture the ~~Penguin~~ Flag! While SE may have captured our flag all three times, we know we’re the real winners here, because we captured their hearts.

Although our performance was subpar today, I’d like to thank everyone who came, and congratulate Mabel on a job well done with her first time VC Transcribing! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s Roller Disco and Spy Takeovers!

[EU] Fashion Show

Good day to all my favourite Vikings!! (that’s all of you)

Today, May 15th 2021, we logged onto Zipline on CPR to have a special Fashion Show event!! Our catwalk began from the Giftshop, where we strutted to Town, Forts and finally –~~after a few missteps~~– to the Docks. Everyone wore their best outfits-keeping in mind our dark blue theme! We might even want to consider changing our name to The Fashion Vikings! :E5:

[EU] Staff U-Lead

Hey Vikings :D!

Today on May 14th, 2021, we logged onto Zipline on Club Penguin Rewritten for our Staff U-Lead event! We waddled our way through the Cove, Plaza, and Ski Village! We had a few staff members who usually don’t lead that led today, and they did an amazing job! As did the members who held onto the tactics pretty easily!

By the way guys, that heart was really cute I ain’t gonna lie!!!

[AUSIA] Misty’s Birthday Party!

Oi Vikings!

Today, Friday, May 14th, we logged onto Ascent, CPR, for a special AUSIA event, to celebrate the birthday of our spicy leader Misty! We performed awesome formations, tactics, and bombs throughout the Plaza, Pizza Parlor, and Night Club. It was a super fun event! Thank you Misty for leading, Sofia for an amazing and hyped VC transcription, and Alex for warmup. Let’s not forget DJ Clown Jorge with his funky beats! And, of course, thank you to everyone that showed up to wish a warm HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her!

[EU] Practice Battle Against Ice Warriors

Goooood day to each and every Viking – or a friend of the Viking’s – who may be reading this post right now!

On this fine day, 12th of May, we logged onto Abominable on CPR to have a neat practice battle with the Ice Warriors. The benevolent battle was to celebrate our Blue History. Starting from the Forts we headed into the Iceberg only to return back to the Forts due to our opponents needing a little more time. After 5 minutes of Alex’s warmups we rushed back to the Iceberg which we then entered the Forts once again and finally the Stadium. Big thanks to Jorge for leading the first room and vc transcribing all of the rooms and to our beloved leaders Misty and Oreo for leading the second and third room. Thank you for all you lovely Vikings who made it to today’s event!
