Kanye West – BULLY Review

Evening, Water Vikings!

One of the biggest releases of 2026 thus far – rapper, producer, songwriter, singer, VISIONARY Kanye Omari West now known as Ye has released his next non-collaborative album since 2022 after numerous months of delay and controversy. In an attempt to apologize for his spree of antisemitism, Mr. West returns to his old ways, delivering an album that is refreshing in 2026, yet full of call-backs to his many styles over the past two decades. Read on for more and listen here.

WE ARE SO BACK! WE ARE SO BACK! THERE’S ALMOST NO AI. YEEZY IS BACK!

Tracklist Analysis

King:- Good introduction, great industrial production. Definitely a “we are so back” moment. 8/10
This is a Must:-
This is an average Ye song. It’s ok. 6/10
Father:-
Very witty, cocky song. Fantastic production. Decent feature from Travis Scott. 8/10
All the Love:-
Love the production. The singing matches the feel of the album quite well. 8/10 or 9/10
Punch Drunk:-
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZYYYYYYY IS BACK! 9/10
Whatever Works:-
hnnnggggg. 9/10
Mama’s Favorite:-
Donda donda donda donda donda donda donda. 9/10
Sisters and Brothers:-
Wacky bars, good production, nice flow. 8/10
Bully:-
Ceelo Green’s hook is pretty decent. The production is pretty cool. Ye’s performance somewhat reminds me of 808s. 8/10
Highs and Lows:-
A pretty majestic song. 7/10
I Can’t Wait:-
Very nice production, nice vibe. Feels dark but also uplifting. 8/10
White Lines:-
It’s alright. Nothing to write home about. 6/10, maybe a 7/10
Circles:-
I like the beat somewhat but forget this album exists. 0/10
Preacher Man:-
An insane “what-if”. Remove the AI, do another take at the hook. Fix the mixing. It will ascend because the production and vibe is the best on the album. 6 or 7/10
Beauty and the Beast:-
Second best vibe. Love the production. Very raw and cool. 9/10
Damn:-
It’s alright. 6/10
Last Breath:- Meh. 5/10
This One Here:-
An example that AI is capable of decent music. 8/10

Overall, the album has some pretty decent songs. If the album was shortened a little then it would have better consistency in terms of quality. Hope the AI is adjusted. That being said, the album suffers from a problem where a lot of the songs are derivative (and to a degree, built upon) previous Ye styles and isn’t really working towards a new sound. It is nice to hear that Ye is back, especially with the songs in the style of Late Registration like Punch Drunk and Whatever Works, but there was a missed opportunity to capitalize on the super raw sounds of the title track, I Can’t Wait, Preacher Man, and Beauty and the Beast.

Best Song: Whatever Works
Worst Song: Circles
FINAL SCORE: 7/10 (6/10 also acceptable)

YEAH COBRAS RIGHT, WE ARE BACK ONCE AGAIN YEEZY SEASON APPROACHING

Tracklist Analysis

King:- Strong into for the album, definitely a start I would like to hear for a Ye album. I feel like this have great potential to go popular through short edits. 7.5/10
This is a Must:-
Have to agree with Cobra, nothing too special. Could be a 7 but Ye’s voice sounds like he is bored of this and doesn’t care about the quality 6/10
Father:-
Witty, cocky but amazing. Great sample use, great beat drop, and a fairly decent Travis feature. (side note the video for this song is amazing) 9/10
All the Love:-
Likely gonna be the biggest song on the album, I think a bit more of Ye would have been great for this song 9/10
Punch Drunk:-
Yeah well, great sample again but the NEEDS mixing, some vocals are just bad   7/10
Whatever Works:-
Top 3 on the album. 9/10
Mama’s Favorite:-
Great song with a nice outro 8.5/10
Sisters and Brothers:-
I like it overall, needs one more verse  7/10
Bully:-
A song that feels like it’s actually finished. NEEDS ANOTHER YE VERSE KAJFKAWHGKAJWG 8/10
Highs and Lows:-
It hurts knowing what this song actually could have been, maybe I should stop listening to leaks. Still decent. (Fuck pomme for not clearing the sample). IDK if I even need to say this anymore but NEEDS ANOTHER VERSE. Could be my favorite if it was longer.7/10
I Can’t Wait:-
Very enjoyable song, love the vibes. ALSO the transition into this from Highs and Lows is amazing 8/10
White Lines:-
Im not a fan but not horrible, has its own beauty, will probably going to like it in a few weeks. 5/10
Circles:-
No. (This song got updated since Cobra’s review) 0/10
Preacher Man:-
Pls make new mixing for this. Has potential to be the best song. 5.5/10
Beauty and the Beast:-
I like it, can’t say much more about it, a slower song. 8/10
Damn:-
Beautiful song, but repetitive 8.5/10
Last Breath:- Started to grow on me. Unexpected feature from Pleso Pluma.  6.5/10
This One Here:-
This song is good. But this is once again a song that had too much potential. Originally meant for the collab album between Ye and James Blake this song had majestic vocals from James. As said before, this song has AI in it however you can’t exactly tell it if you are not aware of it. If I stop thinking about the “what if” here, This One Here is a great closer for this album. Im glad we got this song even in this version.  8/10

I would say about the same final thoughts as cobra, so I won’t repeat what he said. What this album SERIOUSLY needs is mixing.

Best Song: All the Love
Worst Song: Circles
FINAL SCORE: 7/10 (Averages to 7.08)
