Viking of the Week: Dividebyzero

Nardo: First, tell us a bit about yourself.

Div: Im Div! I recently joined discord a month ago, not knowing what future it begins for me. My hobbies are collecting figures/cards, watching movies, and much more. I love my friends, ice cream, music, and chess. Im an introvert, however more talkative to people once i know them more.

Nardo: How long have you been in WV and why did you decide to join?

Div: Ive been in WV for about a month from now. A user named Phantom requested me to join, and I thought “this server looks cool” Club Penguin was also mentioned in it, another one of my favorite games.

Nardo: What do you enjoy the most about being in WV?

Div: I enjoy the events the most. They’re usually really fun, and I have a great time in them, those games either being CPAB, or anything else. The community is also another favorite of mine, they’re really great people!

Nardo: How does getting Viking of the Week make you feel?

Div: I’m honestly surprised, I joined only a month in, and getting Viking of The Week is an achievement i’ll always remember. Im honored.

Nardo: Do you have any personal goals you want to achieve in WV?

Div: It would be nice for me to apply for WVRR, and I’m thinking of actually doing it, atmost sometime next year.

Nardo: Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Div: WV is the best 👍

Staff of the Week: b2

Noa: So, B2 tell me a little bit about yourself! How long have you been a staff member in Water Vikings?

B2: My name is b2, and I really like chess, badminton, and tennis! I’ve been a staff at WV since June 2025! I’ve really loved it because everyone’s really nice!

Noa: Oh wow, I’ve actually always wanted to learn how to play Chess but it’s always looked super confusing. That’s great stuff! What would you say is the most rewarding thing about being a staff member? Do you have a favorite task to do within the committees?

B2: Hmm, I would say that the most rewarding thing is that I can always talk to the nice group of staff and that I’m able to help out with WV in general. I also have found recently that I really like leading (despite how bad I might be at it). And now I’m realizing that I just gave 3 things…
My favourite task within the committees is probably most stuff media-related, I like making posts (especially R&R Rumble which if you see this you should enter!) and videos.

Noa: That’s okay, the more the merrier. I can appreciate a long descriptive answer! Do you have any long term goals within your staff career?

B2: My main goal I think is probably to get HCOM, but no matter what I’m just happy to be here and helping out!

Noa: I think that is a great goal and I hope someday I am here to see it! Last question B2– Is there any advice you would like to give the rest of the lower ranked staff members and future staff members? We have a few more SiT’s joining the academy soon!

B2: I think the best advice for any staff member is to try and do as much as possible! If they ever have any ideas, tell a leader and there’s a good chance it happens! And the last thing is if they ever need any help with anything, there’s almost always someone who can help with that, whether it’s recruiting, welcoming, leading, or anything else!

Recruiter of the Week: Isagi

Ango: So, first question, basic question, to start off every interview : tell me a bit about yourself 🙂‍↕️

Isagi:I feel great today and I also play Video Games like Roblox, Clash Royale etc. Im not a music fan so I dont have the best taste in music.

Ango: Nice nice 🙂‍↕️ What can you tell about your daily grind in terms of recruiting? Like, what motivates you to do it?

Isagi: I get motivated to recruit, when we have a tournament upcoming or anything similar to this. After I finish the day, I look back on my results and try diffrent ways to get more and see which method for me works the best.

Ango: I see 🫡 how does it feel working alongside other people in recruiting? Do you feel like it’s a competition or more like teamwork?

Isagi: I see it more as teamwork. What I usually do is I communicate with other people and then try out their style of recruiting.

Ango: Very nice 🫡 Have you already settled for a style of recruiting? And can you tell us about what it is, if you did?

Isagi: At the Moment I have not Settled with a Style. I am currently trying to find out which one works best for me

Ango: To end the interview, do you have any tips for our fellow recruiters who are in search of a style perhaps?

Isagi: To the People who are in search of a style, ask former staffs who have done recruiting before, they will have good expirence and they will assist you🫡

Humz: my name is humz im quiet cool and like to play games and i am a kind of proffesional e sports player
i like to help people

b2: What motivates you to chat?

Humz: yapping and just making active chats because why not

b2: If you could guess, how many messages do you think you sent this week (and don’t look it up or I will hunt you down.)?

Humz: i prob send a bit to much like an active wild person

b2: Anything else you wanna say to WV?

Humz: make sure to be active and yap because thats how u can make a good representation

Viking of the Week: Aspectwinz

Ango : Tell me a bit about yourself.
Aspect : my name is aspect, i like liverpool, and my bday is 29 apr.

Ango : When did you first join WV?
Aspect : i joined water vikings in july 16th, and i found out about it by a person named law

Ango : What were your first impressions, like when you joined the server?
Aspect : i was like, “this server seems interesting”
reminds me of thinknoodles

Ango : Now that you’ve spent enough time in the server, what would be your favourite thing about the server?
Aspect : my favourite part about the server is the many events so i dont get bored all the time another thing is the people there are so nice

Ango : Lastly, to end up the interview, if you had anything to say to your fellow vikings, what would you tell them?
Aspect : i would like to say thank you for being the best discord server around and YNWA

Staff of the Week: Bean

b2 : What makes you love being a staff member?
Bean : Who said I loved it? /j
Honestly just having the ability to be nosy is all worth it, but I guessssss the people are good too.

b2 : Did you expect to get staff of the week this week?
Bean : Not at all, in my opinion theres WAY better options than little old me. I think whoevers in charge is just trying to get a discount at beans beanstore

b2 : Anything else you want to tell us about yourself (or just in general)?
Bean : Darling hold my hand. Nothing beats a beans beanstore flash sale! Right now, you can save 50 silver per person. Thats 200 silver off for an army of 4

Recruiter of the Week: Chey

Pingo : Tell me a bit about yourself! 
Chey : A lot of you know me, but if you don’t I’m a Marine Corps Veteran’s Wife. I have two kids Melanie (Age 7) and Tucker (Age 3). Love cartoons, amusement parks, and almost everything from the early 2000’s era. Kid at heart. So I’m one of those sweet cool moms you can talk to when you don’t wanna talk to your own parents.

Pingo : As someone who played Club Penguin in its early stages, How was it like? Did you ever walk into any CPA events?
Chey : I was 8 or 9 when I started playing Club Penguin soon after it first came out back in 2005. To me Club Penguin was this fun magical place that I just couldn’t leave behind even when I started getting older. I was online all the time, so I’m very surprised I never got the chance to see any CPA events or I would have been apart of the community a lot sooner. Totally devastated when Disney shut it down back in 2017 but I was there for the final moments.

Pingo : When did you join the Water Vikings? Were you in any armies before discovering us?
Chey : Actually didn’t start in Water Vikings. I joined Discord back in summer of 2020 while I was playing Club Penguin Rewritten. Had heard about Discord so I was curious about it being right above my screen on the game. Clicked it and made an account, eventually I get a random dm from Bigman (Joel) asking to join a server. Since it was Club Penguin related of course my answer was yes. Turned out to be this CPA called Marines ran by Revan. Couple months later we merged with WV and I’ve been here since.

Pingo : Considering your IRL, how do you seperate your time in such a way you can still attend for WV?
Chey : Well I use to attend every event when I was a stay at home mom for a couple years during covid and then I went back to working and I’ve switched my schedule several different times just to be here. Between parenting, working 2 jobs, cleaning/cooking/laundry, and maintaining a relationship I still make it a priority to attend as much as possible.

Pingo : Would you say that your IRL hinders your availability online?
Chey : Yes a little bit. Would I love to be able to put in a full 100% everyday here yes absolutely but I can’t so I do as much as I can and hope that I’ve contributed enough each week.

Pingo : Ive noticed that you’be been recruiting for a while? How have you improved with recruiting over the years?
Chey : Honestly I used to suck at recruiting like I have over 100 alt accounts that I got locked out of just from trying. I’ve taken the time to get the basics that Cotton taught me down and the rest of it was with Bullhour help. Watched a video and boom it clicked for me after that. Now I have over 3,000 recruits.

Pingo : What motivates you to recruit and to be in WV?
Chey : WV has become like a huge part of my life over the years and it means a lot. The people I’ve met that have came and gone thru here are amazing and there are so many of you that I care about even if we don’t talk your in my prayers and thoughts so this is what motivates me to keep continuing my time here and helping to keep it alive.

Pingo : What would be your favourite activity to do in WV?
Chey : Besides events I like when we play Scribble together. If we could bring back Cards Against Humanity and Trivia game nights that would be activates at the top of my list.

Pingo : Do you have a memorable moment/event in mind?
Chey : There are so many! My earliest memories of my time here were when Change was leader and you would hear his key board in the vc.

Pingo : If there was anything you could tell to the entire COMMUNITY, what would it be?
Chey : I love you all, FEAR THE WAVE!

Chatter of the Week: Kyros

Noa : Tell me a bit about yourself, Kyros! How long have you been in the Water Vikings?
Kyros : 11 months! It’s been a long time since i joined and i never regretted choosing WeeVee

Noa : Did you expect to get Chatter of the Week this week? Considering there is a very long history of Ango receiving the award
Kyros : i did not, i thought ango was getting it but looks like i broke his streak

Noa : Who would you say is your favorite person to chat with inside the server? Better yet, what encourages you to stay so active?
Kyros : everyone in the Water Vikings is my favorite but if i had to choose then it’ll be Ango The Mango. unemployment encourages me…haha. But to be for real, it’s the staff team. i see every staff member active and get motivated to chat more and more

Noa : That’s amazing to hear, good stuff Kyros! Last question! Do you have any advice for new members of the server when it comes to chatting? I know there are quite a few shy recruits and cadets out there who would love a little push!
Kyros : my advice is, dont be shy! everyone in the Water Vikings family is friendly and kind, so you shouldn’t be shy! no one will hate you, everyone here likes new members !
