Hello Vikings! Today we sat down and gathered information from our mascot trackers on what they do and what they like about it! Whether it may be the tracking itself or who their favorite mascot is! Here is what was gathered!

How does it feel every time a mascot gets online?
Sarah: Exciting, but also a bit nerve wracking, because you have to figure out which mascot is online, what server they are on, and what room they are at, and if there are multiple, its a bit harder, if they aren’t in the same place haha.
Marsh: It’s a rush, that’s for sure!! I always think to myself “OK TIME TO LOCK IN GO GO GO”!!
Kath: It’s always exciting, sometimes nerve wrecking because we never know if it will be one mascot or five or if we will be there for 30 min or 5 hours (I tracked for 3hrs once, so yeah.)
Kev: Excitement but sometimes scary because you never know how many mascot would be online.
What problems might arise when doing tracking?
Sarah: Queues, game crashing, the mascot crashing and a full room.
Marsh: Some things I’ve noticed is that sometimes, you will have to step away for something IRL. Tracking can last A WHILE in some cases, like hours!! So making sure you have your team to back you up is always wonderful
Kath: Crash, lag, queue. The most annoying one is when the mascot crashes and switches server.
Kev: lag, queue, the mascots crashing, and server crash. you never where the mascots would go if that happens
How did you become a mascot tracker?
Sarah: One day, all of the mascot trackers in the server were busy, and 2 mascots came online, so I told Stevos, and afterwards, I mentioned that I could always help track the mascots, if this were to happen again
Marsh: Honestly, I just happened to be awake when Rory came online. No one else who was tracking was online so I was given access to track at like 3am EST. Literally thrown into the deep end!!
Kath: I became a tracker back in my old army because I was giving the place where the mascot was and since then I became tracker and when I came to WV, once it was brought back, I became tracker for WV!
Kev: funny story jajaa, I went to darci dms talking about “oh shit mascot tracking” and he ask me if i wanted to be part of it and after that. I became one
Who is your favorite mascot?
Sarah: Dot, because she is such a DIVA!
Marsh: ROOKIE ROOKIE ROOKIE ROOKIE ROOKIE

He’s always been my favorite since childhood, I love how silly he is!
Kath: I think my favorite mascot is Rookie. He’s super funny.
Kev: my favorite mascot is Aunt artic, she’s so calm and sometimes funny
How might tracking help the server?
Sarah: It helps people who wants to meet the different mascots, and get the mascots stamps, but it also helps people know where the mascots are at any given moment.
Marsh: Tracking can 100% help the server in terms of troop activity and interaction with other members. It is one of our talking points when recruiting on CPJ, so that adds to more troops in the army as well!! I also believe that our tracking of not only the mascots, but pin tracking and catalog guides really keeps that OG Club Penguin culture alive and well in the CPA community. Never forget your origins!!
Kath: It helps our CPJ people and us being seen when we are online. The more we track, the more people we help! Being seen helps us getting new people to tag along too!
Kev: It helps to see which mascot is online and be able to interact with troops, bond with troops while they talk about the mascot that is currently online and laugh about any funny stuff that they might say lol.
favorite party to track?
Sarah: I have only (officially) helped track, at one party, which was the Summer Splashdown, where Cadence was the mascot, but unofficially, I would probably have to say the April fools party, because that was a lot of fun!
Marsh: Since I’ve only been tracking this year, my favorite party so far has been the One Million Party!! Talk about a hectic time to track! But that chaos added to the experience and made it one to never forget!
Kath: The fair, even if it gave me a bad time last year.
Kev: Hmmm, this is a tough one. I’ll say the summer party because you were able to go to the slides and stuff, there was one time that i turned into a baby and start eating people’s ice cream jaja.
Well you heard it now Vikings! Whether our trackers are sliding down slides, paddling puffles, or celebrating the millionth penguin. There truly is no end to mascot tracking!! Who might become a tracker next..?
