Frostbite, Capital of Water Vikings – Hello Vikings! While we are getting ready for one of the biggest face-offs of the Legends Cup, there are some people in the shadows that watch over us… You might know some of them, maybe not, but for this edition related to the Legends Cup, we knocked on the door of the High Council of Vikings (HCOV) to get some tips for the battle against our brother allies in the Semi-Finals.
We sat down with Aaron, Claire, Mable, and Raven for an interview about their experiences and the battle against the RPF.
Now let’s begin, shall we?
To start things off, could you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your role in Water Vikings?
Aaron: My name is Aaronstone and I am the head of the High Council of Vikings. I’ve been in and out of Water Vikings since 2013.
Claire: I’m Claire, I’ve been in WV for nearly 6 years, I’m one of it’s most loyal members and I’ve seen a loooot in happen during this time LOL. Currently I am a member of the High Council of Vikings (HCOV) and as the other members, my role is to guard and oversee the army.
Mabel: Hi, I’m Mabel, I led the Water Vikings from September 2022 to February 2024 and am currently a part of HCOV
Raven: I am Raven/Raven116. I am part of the High Council of Vikings, which is the highest advisory and supervisor body of the army. We ensure operations run as they are supposed to but directly not interfere with the armys day to day life
In past tournaments during your time as leader, staff, or even troop, what were some of the biggest challenges you faced, and how did you overcome them?
Aaron: Probably the biggest challenges in previous battles was keeping people motivated and ready to go. Demotivated troops and staff can suck the life out of a tournament run so it’s important to stay motivated however you can.Claire: I believe my biggest challenge was how things get intense and more heavy during tournament and the burn out that comes with it, spcially because it damages the individual and the members. Don’t lose motivation, find the will for the army and your team mates. Make that last push!
Mabel: During my leadership I would mostly be vc leading during the battles, however I assisted a lot in preparing for the battles. One of our biggest challenges I can honestly remember from my leadership with my co-leader Dino would honestly be that our troops were having lots of trouble with understanding events. Dino and I hosted many practice events on our own, as well as practice battles with allies to strengthen our troops over the months onto the upcoming battles, aswell as getting our own HCOM involved in preparation of leading events. Everyone was involved in someway or another, which I strongly believe is what brought everyone together more, especially during tournaments.
Raven: I think the biggest challenge during every tournament is not the battles themselves, but fighting the exhauastion/burnout that comes with it both from staff members, troops and even leaders in certain cases. Its not something one can overcome but rather prevent it. The way to do so is to make a schedule for yourself and follow it.
Based on your experience, what’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone competing in their very first Legends Cup or even any member of WV?
Aaron: Stay motivated; the reward of winning and sharing the moment with the group you worked so hard with to achieve the ultimate victory is so worth it.
Claire: Enjoy!!! Legends Cup is one of, if not the greatest tournament of CPA, it’s intense and can be tiring but it’s so worth it and so fun, so make it count. Do your tasks, share the weight, work together to bring the trophy home. If you’re a troop, join us! It’s very exciting and you’ll be part of something greater which is our victory!
Mabel: Don’t stress things out. Pay attention to chat, but I also strongly encourage joining the voice channel too to get faster commands, as our vc leaders will be strongly paying attention to the chat to direct you easier so you have more time to focus on the actual battle part itself.
Raven: Take it seriously. Even weaker enemies, go into a fight as if we are fighting the top 1 army. You cant let your guard down. Also dont be too cocky
Anything else you would like to add?
Aaron: Push through the demotivation and keep going; we all rely on one another. If you feel you have nothing to be motivated for, then just do it out of love and respect for those around you.
Claire: Be careful rebels, TSUNAMI INCOMING!
Mabel: Water Vikings Among Us game night when???????
Raven:No
That’s it, folks. I hope you enjoyed reading these amazing tips as much as I did. Now let’s keep working hard until the battle. See you on Sunday, and let’s crush these rebels, shall we?
