Frostbite, Capital of Water Vikings. — Good morning, Water Vikings. Earlier this week, we received a press release regarding the reopening of our Minecraft server! After two months in the Nether, we are setting out on a brand new journey for Vikingsburg. This post will travel from the Nether to our village, where our Junior Media sat down with the person behind the reopening: Pingo.

The sun has finally risen once again on our Minecraft server, shining as brightly as ever. The WV community will be happy to learn that for 8 hours a day, the Water Vikings Minecraft server Vikingsburg will be online, letting everyone play with a schedule covering all three time zones.

For the grand reopening, Joshie from the Junior Media department sat down with Pingo for an interview.
Why did you decide to reopen the Minecraft server?
The question is why was it closed in the first place. I was on leave doing this thing called “getting an education” but i couldnt do both run the MC server and “getting an education” so i focused on “getting an education” and getting WV Staffees to run the server. This way we usually have someone whos job is to see the server not set itself on fire
Why did you pick the times that you did for the schedule?
Tried to make it 1 per every timezone, these are times that in the Minecraft community i feel like are pretty active and also dont clash with the mainstay Club Penguin stuff because they have the tournaments with OTHER servers and we (for now) dont
What kind of Minecraft events will we have?
Expect building competitions, boat racing, pvp, maybe even a football tournament. I plan on annoying enough people to make it an unofficial olympics-esque tournament. First I wanna see the people and what they want
If any, would there be custom features or plugins? If so, why? If not, why not?
I want to be able to add more plugins, ive been thinking about adding an economy plugin but im worried that won’t go to plan. Other then that, the main plan is just making it more “fun” in the server with minigames near New Vikingsburg being underconstruction. Sulfur Cubes.
How do you hope WV benefits from this?
Gaming is fun. Minecraft is fun. Gaming in Minecraft is fun! Especially if you goof around in VC, but my muted ass doesn’t get many chances to.
