Greetings, Vikings!
As we can see, the most important tournament is knocking on the Water Vikings’ door, with the invitation to participate for the 12th time. Our army is one that hasn’t won this tournament yet, but this year it will be different.
WV has made it to the finals in 2015, 2016, and 2022, and to the semi-finals just last year, losing barely in likely the closest battle of the tournament. The Legends Cup is the type of tournament where all armies show how they prepared for this tournament with hard work and unity. In this type of tournament, we see high numbers, high expectations for the armies to win and many memorable moments. It is one of the oldest tournaments in CPA history, yet it is the biggest one so far, due to its importance and meaning to all the armies. All the armies want this prestigious trophy, but Fortuna, the goddess of luck, smiles for only one army.
Vill and Mary from the Junior Media Department interviewed some WV community members about their thoughts and feelings about Legends Cup coming up. Let’s check their answers out!
Do you have any experience with CPA tournaments in the past?
Chong Lee, Viking Quartermaster
I’ve participated in a variety of CPA tournaments over the years, most notably Christmas Chaos, March Madness, and the Legends Cup. Each one has been a unique experience and has taught me something different, helping me grow both as a player and as a teammate.
Mz, Viking Petty Officer
Yeah! Attended OH, CC, MM for WV
Rose, Viking Commodore
I do not. This is my first CPA tournament ever!!
European, Viking Commodore
I was in march madness that happended in 2026
Ellz, Viking Warrior
Yup! I’ve been around for a few tournaments. I took part in every tournament starting with last year’s March Madness while I was in ACP, and I came back again for this year’s March Madness too. I’d say they’ve given me plenty of experience with the hype, the pressure, and the occasional chaos that comes with tournament season. I’m excited to bring that experience and energy into LC with WV.
Leo, Viking Guard
Despite being in this community for a few years now, I wasn’t very active before, but I have participated in around 4–6 tournaments. They’ve definitely given me a good idea of what tournament season is like, and I’m excited to be a bigger part of it this time around.
Pingo, Viking Chief
I have done nothing but participate in CPA tournaments for the last five years. I have seen things… many things. Leading Christmas Chaos events from the bathroom kind of things. Watching an army go from maxing 30 to 70 and winning a Legends Cup (not WV… yet). Getting third place in a tournament because of Cart Surfing. Seeing Stefan call Forest. Watching WV’s first bomb not work and getting eliminated by RPF in the semi-finals because of it. I’ve even seen battles get reviewed. At this point, the only tournament experience I’m missing is a multilog scandal.
How do you feel about this year’s LC?
Chong Lee, Viking Quartermaster
I can confidently say that the Legends Cup is my absolute favorite tournament.
Looking back at last year, we definitely faced our fair share of setbacks. The infamous Forest blunder ultimately cost us the battle, but the entire experience was invaluable.
It was incredibly competitive, highly challenging, and pushed us far beyond what we thought we were capable of. It’s exactly the kind of experience that helped us improve, and I can’t wait to take everything we learned into this year’s tournament.
Mz, Viking Petty Officer
Really excited, tbh
Rose, Viking Commodore
I’m very excited for it. Not sure what to expect so I’m keeping an open mind about this experience!
European, Viking Commodore
I hope wv will win and I’m excited to see who we’ll be battling against
Ellz, Viking Warrior
Honestly, I’m really excited for LC! It’s probably the most fun (and slightly stressful
) time of the year because everyone brings their best. I’m proud to be representing WV. We’ve put in a lot of work, and it’s been amazing seeing everyone improve together. No matter what happens, I’m looking forward to making memories, having fun, and hopefully making some waves.
Leo, Viking Guard
I’m super excited! Even though it hasn’t officially started yet, we’ve already begun preparing for it. You can really feel the excitement building, and I can’t wait to see all of our hard work pay off.
Pingo, Viking Chief
We’re going to run it back. I want to see WV vs. RPF again, except this time it’ll be in the finals. A beautiful final. And this time, we’re winning it. I can already picture us maxing 120—it’s in my heart, and I’m manifesting it.
How are you going to help WV win LCXVI?
Chong Lee, Viking Quartermaster
I’m doing everything I can to make sure we’re fully prepared before the next Legends Cup begins. That means recruiting new members, boosting event registration, and maintaining a strong presence at our upcoming operations.
More than anything, I want to help build the momentum we’ll need to succeed. Honestly, I have a strong feeling that this is our year to lift the Legends Cup trophy. Our future is looking blue and wavy.
Mz, Viking Petty Officer
Helping to increase activity in the main chat, recruiting, and overall activities in wv
Rose, Viking Commodore
I’m going to clock in to the locked in factory™️and make sure my tactics are clean as can be to help bring WV to victory!!!!
European, Viking Commodore
I’m going to attend as much battles as I can, and send tactics as fast as I can
Ellz, Viking Warrior
I’m planning to help by showing up, staying consistent, and giving every event my all. I’ll probably throw in a bit of chaos and a lot of energy too.
At the end of the day, LC isn’t won by one person—it’s won by a team. I’ll do everything I can to help WV make a strong run for LCXVI.
Leo, Viking Guard
I’ll be helping in as many ways as I can! I’ve been working on media-related things like creating hype, writing posts for our site, and sharing ideas to help the army grow. I’ll also be focusing on retention by messaging people about events and battles, building stronger connections with our troops, hosting fun activities like game nights and movie nights, and of course, recruiting as much as possible.
Pingo, Viking Chief
I’m going to commit crimes against humanity… in MS Paint, of course. My drawings will be so terrifying that the other armies will simply refuse to participate. Problem solved
Are you confident that WV is going to go far in the competition?
Chong Lee, Viking Quartermaster
Absolutely. We’ve evolved tremendously since last year, and I truly believe we’re ready to take on anyone standing in our way.
While the Rebel Penguin Federation will undoubtedly be one of our toughest opponents because of their size, WV has always been the wildcard. We’ve shown that, at our best, we can beat anyone. The key is staying consistent and never letting our guard down. I’m fully committed to bringing home the trophy, and I hope everyone else shares that same hunger. I love you all, and I’m incredibly proud to be part of the Water Vikings!
P.S. Good luck to every other army… you’re going to need it.
Mz, Viking Petty Officer
Certainly, Water Vikings are progressing confidently towards the finals, with the potential to secure the championship. I remain optimistic, observing the enthusiasm displayed by all participants, including staff and troops; everyone is diligently striving to ensure victory in the Legends Cup. Furthermore, Mission Frostbite offers additional incentives for all individuals already contributing to LC, thereby encouraging greater participation among troops and staff members.
Rose, Viking Commodore
I am very confident that wv is going far in LC. This is a super strong community filled with committed players
European, Viking Commodore
I think we will go far in this competition, if not even win it this year with our fantastic leaders
Ellz, Viking Warrior
Oh, absolutely! I’m not saying I’m psychic, but I have a pretty good feeling about us. We’ve been putting in the work, everyone’s been grinding, and the team chemistry has been great. LC is always unpredictable, but if we keep doing what we’ve been doing, I definitely think WV can make a strong run. I’m excited to see how far we can take the wave!
Leo, Viking Guard
Definitely! I’m confident in our team, and I truly believe Water Vikings have what it takes to win LCXVI. We’ve been putting in the effort, and I’m excited to see how far we can go together.
Pingo, Viking Chief
Yes. We duh Vikings of Water.
The Water Vikings are ready to sail in the new tournament that is Legends Cup LCXVI. Confident, strong and with a strong mindset, nothing seems to get in their way. Are YOU ready for the biggest tournament of CPA?
Fear the wave!
