The countdown started, the machine is on, and we are now getting ready for the Legends Cup. We covered last time the questions of: What is a tournament, and what is the Legends Cup? in the previous edition. In this freshly printed one, we will offer you an exclusive interview with six different people every week about their experience in the previous Legends Cup (from ex-staff to previous leaders!) in Water Vikings.

In this week’s episode, we sat down with Stefan, ex-Viking Lord, who took part in two Legends Cup (2024 & 2025). During his first LC, he was only a troop, but in 2025, he was a staff member who did the VC (Voice Chat) lead for the previous edition of the Legends Cup.
When did you join Water Vikings?
I joined Water Vikings on the 19th of March 2024 as a Viking Cadet.
What rank did you reach before retiring?
I reached Viking Lord (3ic), and I hope I reach more in the future.
Tell us a bit about yourself
As you probably already know, I am a really competitive person, and I think I have shown that a lot while being in this community in a lot of ways (even in some not really nice ways, but we can leave that aside 😂) I love helping with hyping, recruiting, VC leading, basically anything that helps us grow as an army, discord server and as a community in general. I also love talking to people
When you first joined, what were people saying about Legends Cup?
When I joined in 2024 we didn’t do as good in Legends cup because we had a tournament and 2 wars back to back to back. We also had a few leaders retire during that time so we didn’t have time to really prepare. I think some people were excited and some were demotivated because of our sizes and big overall drop.
When did you first start to feel that everyone was starting to work a lot harder?
I felt that everyone started to work WAY harder after the reconstruction of the Viking Academy, so around the middle of May 2025. It was really nice to see everyone working hard after a lockdown and a long period of stagnation to achieve something we couldn’t the year prior.
What did you see from others and the army as a whole that motivated you?
What motivated me was seeing everyone from Leaders to staff to troops being hungry for that Legends Cup trophy and people joining from everywhere in CPA just to help us at least try to do what we did, without them we would’ve never hit those sizes that we hit, win those battles that we won, so without them truly we wouldn’t be Top 1 on the Top Ten for 2 months straight. We had what some would say the “perfect” team (but then 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲).
What achievements during LC were you most proud of from yourself and the army?
During LC I was proud that I reached Third in command, hit more than 100 recruits in less than 10 days 2 or 3 times,was a member of all four committees, got the title of Viking Valur at the Blue summer awards ceremony, I’m proud that we broke the army’s size record twice in less than 3 weeks, had probably our biggest Top 1 streak from the past few years. it was just perfection.
Are you excited for LC this time around?
I am HYPED, we’ve been on the rise lately so we have a great chance of getting back to that Top 1 spot, exceeding and breaking our size records once again and finally Winning this tournament once and for all. its only been a year but it feels like five.

I would say keep doing what you are doing, the competition will be tough but with all the hard work we are already showing we can do it together
