Welcome to another edition of Weekly Awards! This week was quite the special one; it was the final awards of the month, and even the year (although there are also the End of Year awards). Because of this, we decided to have a joint Viking of the Week award, and both of those winners were also given the Rookie of the Month award. Enjoy these special interviews below, along with the Staff and Chatter of this week.
Viking of the Week/Rookie of the Month: Kobie
b2: First, tell me a bit about yourself!
Kobie: Im Kobe, I live in Belgium and I like to play football, games or just chat on discord.
b2: How and when did you join WV?
Kobie: I joined the Water Vikings 15 november 2025 and created my account soon after, I had been in this server before but left.
b2: What are your thoughts on being the joint Viking of the Week and Rookie of the Month with Leo?
Kobie: Its really cool and amazing to win such awards and of course with Leo, who has been recruiting so many people.
b2: Did you expect to be the VOTW/ROTM this week/month?
Kobie: I absolutely didn’t expect this, i’m not really focused on these awards, I just try to do my best and help as much as possible.
b2: What motivates you to recruit, welcome, and attend events?
Kobie: What motivates me to recruit, welcome and attend to events are the amazing people in here and just the fact that i’m helping my army become better and better.
b2: What are your aspirations within WV?
Kobie: My aspirations within WV are of course reaching Viking Commodore and one day hopefully get into the staff of WV.
b2: Anything else you want to say to the entirety of WV?
Kobie: What i want to say to the entirety of WV to hard working members : keep it up, keep attending to events. To all the people that don’t have an account on cpa yet or haven’t tried to attend to an event : Make sure to try it out, its really amazing. And together, lets become unbeatable
Viking of the Week/Rookie of the Month: Leo
Pingo: How are you today Leo?
Leo: Im good today
Pingo: When, and how, did you join WV?
Leo: Well, I joined last month, 19th November, I used to be in EGCP, but left for some reasons, and I decided to join WV, because I heard it was a great army
Pingo: What inspired you to start looking for new people to the WV server?
Leo: I was never a big recruiter, I was terrible at it, I just liked welcoming, but I knew recruiting was also really important, so I just decided to give it a try and I eventually liked it a lot, you can’t welcome recruits you dont have, so thats also why I started recruiting more hehe
Pingo: Do you feel like your IRL influences your activity in the server?
Leo: For sure, since I study music and still have to study for school, it’s really difficult for me, but I always try to have time to go to some events and recruit
Pingo: What do you feel about sharing both Rookie of the Month and Viking of the Week with the same person?
Leo: I feel great, and I really didn’t expect it, so I’m honestly surprised, but it’s amazing
Pingo: Do you see yourself as reaching Staff soon?
Leo: Well, tough question. Soon, I’m not sure, but maybe one day I get to be in the staff team
Pingo: How has your experience in the community felt like? Did you enjoy Chritmas Chaos?
Leo: Amazing, this is my third army, and I really like how the things work here, the people are really nice, so it has been a great experience. I did enjoy Christmas Chaos, it’s always a big event
Pingo: Is there something you do outside of WV that you would like to share?
Leo: Not really 🙁
Pingo: What piece of advice do you think has gotten you to reach ROTM so soon?
Leo: Recruit the powerrrrr, recruiting is really important for the server, and do not give up, as I said before, I was a terrible recruiter, and I still made it, so really, do not give up, also i should thank Isagi for the advices
Pingo: Is Portugal a great country?
Leo: Siuuuu, I really like Portugal, a peaceful country, with great food!
Staff of the Week: Isagi
b2: Hi Isagi, you got Staff of the Week! Congrats!
Isagi: Oh, Cool!
b2: You’re no stranger to weekly awards—how do you manage to get an award most weeks?
Isagi: I just dedicated myself every week for the army I usually really dont pay to weekly awards that much.
b2: What motivates you to reach the threshold for these awards?
Isagi: I dont get motivated, sometimes I do, but its mostly discipline that keeps me working to reach these thresholds.
b2: Did you expect to be the Staff of the Week this week?
Isagi: No I did not, I thought it would be someone like Pingo or possibly Kath for this week sense they both have done great this week.
b2: What are your thoughts on the recent influx of troops helping out greatly in WVRR? How do you think it will help us with the new year of tournaments approaching?
Isagi: I see troops trying there best to do wvrr and coming to ask staff on how to do better and to use that advice to their advantage
b2: Lastly, is there anything else you want to say to WV as a whole?
Isagi: Lock in for March Madness. We got this.
Chatter of the Week: Kfc
Mary: First of all, tell me more about yourself.
Kfc: I’m really lazy and don’t have much to do, so I’m on Discord basically 24/7 
Mary: Alright, moving on to more questions about WV, could you tell us when you first joined?
Kfc: I joined WV on Nov 11th, 2025, because I got a DM from some rando who was in the Minecraft server asking if I’d like to join a “cool and friendly server :.D”
Mary: What motivates you to chat so much? Is it keeping it active, just wanting to chill with WV, or something else?
Kfc: I like all of the people in Water Vikings because they’re all so sweet and fun to talk to and it’s almost never a dead chat so there’s always something happening to keep me entertained especially if I’m not having a good day :>
Mary: Do you have any advice for troops that are shy to talk in main chat with us?
Kfc: Honestly I found it difficult to talk to people in the beginning too but I started trying to include myself a lot in conversations (might’ve been a bit annoying) but it definitely got me somewhere and now mostly everyone knows who I am because I’ve annoyed the crap out of all of em 😀 ;so honestly just speak your mind and it’s pretty easy to make friends
Mary: What are your goals in wv?
Kfc: I’m not really interested in attending or climbing the ranks, I literally just want to chat a lot :>
Mary: If you could say anything to the whole community, what would it be?
Kfc: Get better sleep schedules
