Frostbite, Water Vikings Capital — If I look at my calendar, we just entered the Legends Cup season… Oh, wait, wrong text…. Hello, Water Vikings! Welcome back to our weekly edition of Road to Legends Cup. A column where we sat down with previous staff, HCOV members and leaders to talk about the biggest tournament in CPA: Legends Cup. Last week, we sat down with our favourite kite lover: Claire! For this episode, we sat down with one of your Viking Commanders: Escot!
In this week’s episode, we sat down with Escot, a passionate soccer football fan. His dedication to Water Vikings goes all the way back to 2022! He was named Best Major leader and WV BEST COMMANDER EOY in 2025.
Let’s dive in and see his answers, or should I say: Vamos?
When did you join WV? / Tell us a bit about yourself.
I joined WV originally in October 2022 post LC of that year. I usually just chill around and enjoy talking to peeps, recruiting in spare time, and at times also playing CPJ or any other game.
I believe when I originally joined, Legends Cup was a big deal already. In 2022 we just reached the finals against the Templars but lost 2 rooms against them.
When you first joined, what were people saying about Legends Cup?
I felt everyone was starting to work a lot harder during the summer of 2023. During that summer we had a lot going on like the World War, Legends Cup, and many more.
When did you first start to feel that everyone was working a lot harder? What do you remember of your first LC?
What I remember is that WV almost made it to the Finals but lost again I believe in semifinals or 3rd? Either way we still did pretty good during that summer with everything going on and such.
What is something that WV is doing different this year versus last year?
Something WV is doing different this year than last is that we’ve been much more prepared early on before LC. With us doing CPJ events this year we’ve been maintaining pretty consistent maxes than last year before the tournament. If we use this to our advantage who knows how far we’ll make it this year.
What did you see from others and the army as a whole that motivated you?
Something I see from others and the army as a whole that had motivated myself was how much we have grown since then through burnout and how we get back on track towards tournaments, wars and overall. We also remain focused on the big prize.
What achievements during LC were you most proud of from yourself and the army?
Achievements during LC I was most proud of myself was doing what I could to aid the army to get far alongside the staff and higher command team the past year. We almost beat RPF and made it to the semifinals which goes to show how focused you can be to get the prize.
Are you excited for LC this time around?
Most definitely, this year feels different like the last few. We can make it further than the last few WV legends, veterans, and troops if we push enough.
Anything else to say to Water Vikings?
We can change history this year if we continue to strive for it. Believe it, it’s been far too long for us to win the tournament we never won before. This can build towards a new future and we’ll make history again!
Thank you, Escot, for taking the time to answer our questions while being busy with Mission Frostbite and everything related to Legends Cup! This concludes the fifth interview for Road to Legends Cup! It seems that our leader believes in our chances! Do you think Water Vikings will make history? Are you ready for LC?
