Frostbite, Capital of Water Vikings. — Breaking news: Water Vikings has a new Viking Commander. Darci, long-time WV veteran joined the leadership after a quick oath from HCOV during our recent U-Lead event. In this freshly printed edition of Frostbite Observer, we sat down with the new leader.
Darci joined the Club Penguin Armies community in 2020 with Doritos of Club Penguin, reaching 6th-in-command before the army closed. He later spent time in the Army of the Orient Seas, returned to DCP as 5ic, and then joined Fire Warriors, where he became 3ic and helped win Champions Cup. After FW left the army community, he then co-founded Sea Serpent until its closure in 2021. Darci joined Water Vikings as 4ic due to his experience, rose to the rank of Leader-in-Training during a war against the Templars, and retired in 2022.
In 2026, Darci came back to WV. Quickly, he reached the rank of Higher Command (3ic and above) after going through Viking Academy on March 1st. His contribution skyrocketed with his work behind the scenes with the Retention Committee during the March Madness tournament. He quickly became the Retention Minister after Ango’s retirement in April 2026. Since then, Darci became a key team player, leading Ausia events, some practice battles and many other things behind the scenes. His work made him reach 2ic (Second in Command) on April 25th, 2026.
Two months later, on June 27, 2026, Darci was promoted to Viking Commander. Stefan from our Junior Media team sat down with the new leader for an exclusive interview.

Tell us a bit about yourself and how you first got involved with the Water Vikings, and what your journey has been like up to becoming a leader?
Began armies in 2020 with Doritos, went to a few S/M armies including AOS and FW. First became involved with Water Vikings through my attempt to revive AOS actually. They were allied with Water Vikings and we re-allied. The army revival didn’t go well and my team and I went and formed our own army. Our only allies were the Water Vikings. From there, I grew a bond with the leadership and eventually once my army shut down, I moved over to Water Vikings in 2021.
What does being inducted as a leader of the Water Vikings mean to you personally?
Water Vikings have held such a special place to me where I can connect with people who share similar interests. My induction as leader allows me to foster a fun and playful environment for the community to develop.
What qualities do you think are most important for leading a successful Club Penguin army?
Definitely adaptability. Anything can change at any given moment and being able to adapt quickly would put you at an advantage. Another is determination. With that, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.
What goals or plans do you have for the Water Vikings during your leadership?
Success.
What challenges do you expect to face as a new leader, and how do you plan to handle them?
New leaders face a wide array of challenges. I’m more of the type of person to face whatever challenge/hurdle when I get to it. It’s not something I like to look at myself before hand and say “Oh what if this happens or what if that happens or what if this person thinks that about me.” Ultimately, as long as you are confident in your abilities and able to take constructive criticism, I feel you’re already on the path to success.
Is there a message you’d like to share with the members of the Water Vikings and the wider Club Penguin Armies community?
Growing an army doesn’t come from just one person or a small group of people; it comes from a collective group who work hard to accomplish that goal. Results won’t be immediate, but it should never be a sign of discouragement, but motivation to keep going and improve ourselves. Legends Cup is only the beginning and we will accomplish much more.

After hard work in the field, Water Vikings is proud to have a new leader among its ranks. With Darci’s experience in the community, we can’t wait to see him at work and see where he will bring us.
