Hello Vikings! Welcome to the very first edition of the very spectacular Meet Your Column Writers! Now without further ado for our first column writer that I interviewed… Leo!!! Leo is the column writer of her column Cats & Pancakes! Here is what was gathered from Leo covering her column!
What initially made you come up with this column name?
Leo: I wanted to do a recap column to kind of highlight the various things we do in the Water Vikings, from CPJ and CPAB events to Discord antics! I hope that people who check out our website and articles comes across it and sees how fun it is to be a Viking!
How do you typically find funny moments to put into compilations?
Leo: Usually, I already know what I want, like specific moments, I just gotta search for it, but sometimes I search for something silly that I think that person would have said… Lately, Kath and Vill have helped me a lot with that part too, and it makes it sooo much easier, so I’m thankful!
Has there been any times you have been stumped in one of your projects?
Leo: Oh yes, sometimes, my mind goes blank, and I just have no idea what to write… What I usually do in this situation is either way I interview the person I’m writing about, just to get some information for myself, which I might not even include in the post. Or, I just ask someone for ideas, Vill, Kath, sometimes just a staff member, or even a troop, I really like to have everyone’s opinion!
What was it like when you first started your projects?
Leo: It was really interesting, but if you compare my first Cats and Pancakes episodes to my last one, the first thing you’ll notice is how much it has changed since that. At the beginning, I was still figuring how I would do it, and experimenting with different things… But, it’s funny, because if you know me well, you’ll know that I’m a BIG music nerd, and most of the time I’m not home, probably at rehearsals… So, what I’ve always done is, sometimes I’m on a train and I’m just writing it on my phone, and when I’m thinking, I have the habit of looking at someone, but COMPLETELY zoned out, which is funny, because I believe some of them have looked at me so confused, like “why is this kid looking at me for several minutes” … But it’s really interesting how this show started, and I was soooo excited to start my first projects, lots of people had told me so many ideas (shout out to Vill, Marsh and Kath) and I just wanted and still want to do them all!
Any plans for future projects?
Leo: Oh definitely, but you’ll have to wait for it… I promise you that very interesting and funny posts coming soon! Even before I start writing, I already plan everything on my mind, the ideas just pop up!
concerning cats and pancakes what type of pen would you be?
Leo: I love this question, well… I’d be a fountain pen. First of all, because I have a collection of them, that my grandma once gave me, and I mean around 50 fountain pens… And because I simply looove them, I actually use the pens from my collection, and they’re all so pretty, I simply buy more ink whenever needed…
Well Vikings! This was the very gracious most awesome first edition of MEET YOUR COLUMN WRITERS! Tune in next time for our next column writer could you guess who it might be? Pikachu maybe… Who knows find out next time on Column Writer Z!
