Hellooo, once more, dear Vikings, how are you all doing? Today’s episode will be a little bit more serious, everyone’s working hard for Legends Cup and here I am, writing this show and making jokes about my teammates… Making fun of the leaders, the staff team, the HCOM and the HCOV, still waiting for the day that they’ll get mad-
(I’m just kidding, Cats and Pancakes is meant to bring mre fun to the army without offending anyone)
ANYWAYS, today’s theme is………
If veterans were a painting, which one would they be?

Chong Lee
Chong Lee, a proud Croatian, has dedicated a lot for Water Vikings, and her help was always appreciated, she has achieved the rank of Viking Guard, but due to personal reasons had to retire early in 2026. And, Chong Lee has another passion, which if I’m being honest, I had no idea, she’s a big music lover, a lovely art indeed. She’s currently focused on her medical studies, following her dream of being an anesthesiologist!
Chong Lee would be Port d’Antibes by Paul Signac
At first glance, it’s a peaceful painting (maybe because it really is), and everything feels balanced, that’s exactly what Paul Signac wanted. His paintings weren’t meant to capture chaos, they were meant to capture harmony. That’s exactly what Chong Lee reminds me of.
She isn’t chaotic, she’s one of the people who quietly helps Water Vikings feel like home, and we all notice it… She’s basically a celebrity there.
Every time she spawns in main-chat, everyone starts saying “CHONG LEE” “OMG HEYY HRU”; must be difficult to answer them all…
And she is also one of the kindest people I’ve met; she’s ALWAYS welcoming. I think she just camps the chat to check if someone joins… At least, it was worth it; her help is highly appreciated, sooo, congratulations for being the welcomer of the week!
And, it’s not just me seeing her work; I mean, everyone noticed that she’s REALLY locked in, and that’s one of the reasons why we miss her presence in Water Vikings.
Of course, we needed to do some research before writing this, so Vill has asked her some questions about her, so we could get to know her better!
Question: Have you been in any other armies except WV? And if yes, which?
Chong Lee: No, my loyalty lies strictly with the Water Vikings. I have always been dedicated to this army. I truly believe that our future is bright, we continue to ride the waves and stand our ground against any opposition.
Question: If you could be one person from WV for a day, who would you be and why?
Chong Lee: If I had the chance to step into someone else’s shoes for a day, I would choose Spin. He is certainly a polarizing figure, known for being dramatic, provoking arguments, and often spreading misinformation. However, beneath that chaotic exterior, he occasionally shows a surprisingly positive and genuinely kind side. It would be fascinating to experience the perspective of someone who moves between such extremes and operates with such a unique, albeit complex energy.
Thank you so much for your time and patience!

Saber
Saber was a Staff-in-Training on July 4th, 2025 and became a Viking Warrior on July 22nd. He had good welcoming and also recruiting skills and peaked as Viking Housecarl in August. He’s kind of a great person to talk with (and a gambler). He retired in August, after LCXV, for personal reasons.
Saber would be The Cardsharps by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio
This painting tells a story of a young, innocent player who doesn’t realize he’s being tricked by experienced card cheats. One cheater secretly looks at his cards while the other hides extra cards behind his back. The painting is about experience, observation, strategy and knowing the game better than anyone else.
I’m not saying Saber cheats, but from what I’ve seen, he’s got a bit of a gambler spirit; if there’s a bet to make, a prediction to give, or some questionable decision to take, Saber must be involved.
This painting is also about experience, like I said; one of them has no idea of what’s happening, while the others have already figured out the game. That reminds me of Saber.. He’s been around long enough to understand how Club Penguin Armies work; he knows the community well.
But I think my favourite thing about Saber is that you genuinely never know what he’s gonna say…
One day it’s:
The next is:
I simply accept that those are normal sentences in his vocabulary… but anyways, I think “The Carsharps” fits him perfectly! Not because he’s secretly hiding cards up his sleeve, but because he’s someone who knows the game, enjoys taking risks, and somehow always makes it more entertaining!
Although… Maybe don’t let him shuffle the cards

Yoni
Yoni was in DCP before Water Vikings; he achieved the rank of a leader, but he quickly reached out to Water Vikings’ leaders DMs, and he went through VA in July of 2025, becoming a Viking General. He was an AMAZING recruiter; he was getting over 90+ recruits overall throughout the LCXV duration. He retired from his position after LCXV for personal reasons.
Yoni would be The Scream by Edvard Munch
Now, before anyone starts questioning my artistic choices, no, it’s not because Yoni spends his days screaming. It’s because every single time I see his profile picture, I have the same reaction … “Why is Pennywise staring at me?”
And like I said, he was a great recruiter, so if you don’t know Yoni and he suddenly DMs you, the profile picture does at least half the work. You either think you’re about to get recruited, or lured into a sewer… There is absolutely no in-between.
The funny thing is the The Scream isn’t actually about someone screaming. Edvard Munch explained that he was walking at sunset when he suddenly felt “an infinite scream passing through nature”. It represents anxiety, overwhelming emotions, and that strange feeling where everything around you seems completely chaotic. And honestly, as a recruiter, it sounds a lot like recruiting…
You DM 20 people
You get ignored by 5 of them
Blocked by the other 5
Another 5 will say no
And you finally convince the rest to join
(at least half of them leave the server as soon as they join)
Also, ask Yoni what “Dw?” in his status means!

Noa
Noa joined the CPA community in October 2024, not knowing that Club Penguin was still active; that’s how she found out about RPF. After attending her first events, she discovered a new passion and felt welcomed, meeting different people.
Noa: Shoutout, Mary, love you so much.
In January of 2025, she left RPF, joining Water Vikings.
Noa would be Bal du moulin de la Galette by Pierre-Auguste Renoir
At first, it just looks like a group of people dancing together on a Sunday afternoon, and… that’s kind of it! Renoir wanted to capture the happiness that comes from being surrounded by people you care about! Friends laughing together, conversations happening all around you, people feeling like they belong.
That’s exactly what Noa reminded me of when I read her interview.
One thing that immediately stood out to me was how she talked about the people she met rather than the ranks she had. She didn’t describe Water Vikings as just another army; she described it as a place that felt like home. She talked about feeling welcomed from the very beginning, about the friendships she built.
I also really admired how honest she was about herself; she explained that she’s much more introverted in real life and sometimes worries about fitting into groups, but online she slowly found the confidence to be herself.
ANYWAYS, that’s why I chose Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette; the painting isn’t about one person; it’s about a community.
To end this part, I’ll leave you some questions I asked Noa and her answers
Question: How was your experience in Water Vikings?
Noa: I had a wonderful experience in Water Vikings, truly. I always tell myself that this is the first army I should have joined because I meant it when I said I felt at home the minute I moved over here. I have met and made so many amazing people/friends who I cherish so much (Shoutout Ango, my beloved best-friend, Lydia and Cobra.) My growth in the community felt very easy and it was encouraged and I felt like HCOM/HCOV believed in me which meant a great deal as well. Not to mention that they were all super understanding and accommodating when certain life circumstances got in the way. (Thank you Dr.Queen and AaronStone) I am hoping, in time, that I can rejoin the staff team again because I love and care for the community so much and I just want to see it grow and I want other’s to enjoy it here as well.
Question: Favorite ice cream flavour and why?
Noa: Moose Tracks or Mint Chip. I just love the chocolate chunks in each of the flavors, not too overbearing and it’s just the right amount of chocolate lol.
Question: Guardians or marines?
Noa:Sorry Guardians, I’m a Marine through and through. Fear the Wave, though! That we can agree on.

Mato
Mato was a great welcomer and recruiter. He got promoted to leader in September of 2025, his leader skills were amazing. He led Water Vikings in the Semi-Finals of LCXV. He also led in CCXV in the Quarter-Finals against Help Force, and then in the Semi-Finals against Aliens. He retired in March of 2026 before MMX.
Mato would be The Bachelor’s Party by Louis Wain
The painting is… cats. But they’re not acting like cats at all. They’re gathered around a table, enjoying each other’s company just like a friend of good friends would. Louis Wain loved portraying cats with human personalities, using them to show friendship, humor and the joy of simply being together.
That imediately made me think of Mato.
He described himself as friendly, competitive, and someone who enjoys helping others. Even after five years in Water Vikings, becoming Viking Commander, and winning Best HCOM during Legends Cup, the thing that stand out most isn’t just what he has achieved, it’s the way he talks about the community around him.
And then, there’s the obvious part, here’s something Mato said in his interview…
Mato: I LOVE cats : 3 they’re just so amazing meow >:)
the moment I read that, the painting chose itself, a painting full of cats…
NOW, INTERVIEW TIME!
Question: What are your expectations for LC this year?
Mato: I’m pretty confident in WV, last year we almost won it all but came up short. This time WV is ready to take another stab at it and I think they’ll finally bring it home
Question: Are you proud to be my welcomer or do you think I could be a stinky Marine?
(note: I did not include the whole interviews)
Special thanks to: Kath for giving me ideas and helping me editing it. Vill, for doing the interviews, giving me ideas, and helping me writing it. Emjay and Ellz, for helping me with the choosing the paintings. Noa, Mato, Yoni, Chong Lee and Saber, for answering our questions!
