    It has been over two months since our spectacular performance at Legends Cup XV, which saw the highest heights in Water Vikings history, yet ultimately ended in our loss. Since then, we have been going through many changes in the army – leadership changes, new competitions, and achieving #1 on the top tens multiple times. Where it stands right now, WV since the Blue Summer has been a top dog, and at times, THE top dog.

    Just this Saturday passing, Club Penguin Armies announced their next tournament, October Horrors. A moment that we have been waiting for, we have been training for months on end preparing for the moment of finally bringing home a trophy for the Water Vikings. This tournament is interesting in the fact that it will be occurring on just one day, specifically October 25th. On this day, we will fight in our AUSIA, EU, and AM time zones – making up the Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and Grand finals, respectively. It is imperative that our army is prepared on all fronts, as we will be tested with our endurance and our division capabilities.

    With that, to coincide with the march to victory, we are officially announcing Operation: Ocean Sun. Read on for more.

    The Outline

    In order to prepare for the tournament, we need to have the adequate man-power for the army. While we are certainly among the largest armies and have capabilities of pulling great sizes, being complacent is not enough. Therefore, brethren, we are going to grind in our Water Vikings Recruitment Regiment.

    This competition is an opt-in competition, meaning you must deliberately join. To join the competition, message esc0t27 on Discord. The competition is a recruiting competition where we will measure a members recruits, welcomes, and walkthroughs. Below is a guide.

    Joining the Competition

    All members of the army are welcome to join the competition, but they must be a member of the Water Vikings Recruiting Regiment. To join, you simply have to sign up at the #wvrr-signups channel. Once approved, message esc0t27 to opt into the competition.

    Recruiting

    Recruiting is the act of getting members to join the army. We usually do this on alt accounts by joining large servers and asking members if they would like to join our group. For specific guides on recruiting, message esc0t27 or stef4nn_. on Discord. Each recruit that you recruit will count as… 1 recruit. In order for it to be counted, you MUST log the troop in #cpab-registrations-and-logging channel using this format:

    Welcoming

    Welcoming is the act of getting members to register on Club Penguin Armies Battleground, the game that we play. We have multiple guides, which I would recommend reaching out to ango4956 for welcoming assistance, but it simply goes as follows:

    When a member joins the server, you react to their join message in #verification with an emoji to indicate that you will be DMing them. After that, send them a DM to greet them, and eventually ask if they would like to join the game that we play. Once they register on the game, get their username from them and send this to the #cpab-registrations-and-logging channel:

    Welcomed <mention member>
    <CPA Battleground username>
    <Guardians or Marines, pick based on your own role>

    Once you have done that, be sure you join the official CPA Battleground Discord server and send this in their #activation-requests channel:

    <WV>

    Be sure to check this channel to see if they reacted to your message with a checkmark to indicate that it was activated. Be sure to DM the member and tell them they’ve been activated and can log on, and then inform a staff member so they can adjust their roles.

    Each welcomed member is worth 5 recruits.

    Walkthroughs

    A walkthrough is where you teach a newer member how to play CPA Battleground. To do so is usually case-by-case, sometimes it is your own welcome, sometimes someone asks you to do it, and other times it just happens by chance. Regardless, you must teach the following: getting the uniform, moving rooms, tactics (word and emote), movements (bombs, for example), and tell them how a formation works. Take a screenshot during the welcoming process and send this in the #cpab-registrations-and-logging channel:

    Each walkthrough is worth 7 recruits.

    Winning the Competition

    There will be a total of five winners, and it is all based on how many “recruits” you get (again, this counts recruits, welcomes, walkthroughs). 

    1st place – 10 dollars worth of whatever
    2nd place – 5 dollars worth of whatever
    3rd place – 1500 silver
    4th place – 1000 silver
    5th place – 750 silver
